We have a fairly complex order flow. Every order from Shopify required multiple steps and purchase orders in Xero before we could fulfill it. This was all done manually we had to create separate purchase orders for each supplier and decorator, which made tracking and billing a constant headache. We tried automating with Zapier, but it didn’t quite handle our requirements, so we were still spending time manually fixing every order.
We wanted a seamless flow from Shopify to Xero where every order would automatically generate the correct invoice and multiple purchase orders, ensuring each supplier and decorator received a single, complete order. The goal was to cut down manual work and turn orders around faster for our customers.
Simon and the team at Adapt Apps completely automated this process for us. Now, as soon as an order is placed in Shopify, all the related invoices and purchase orders are instantly created in Xero — perfectly matched to our suppliers and decorators. It’s taken a huge administrative burden off our plate and lets us focus on delivering faster and growing the business.
We’re saving around 10 minutes per order ,about 5 hours every 30 orders. That’s time we can now invest in customer service, fulfilment, and scaling our operations.
