Data Views let you visualise and manage the data collected through your forms. Building a new data view in Adapt Apps is quick and easy. This guide covers how to create, design, and edit a Data View from scratch so you can easily access the information you need.
How to build a Data View

Navigate to the Data View Section
From the builder dashboard, go to the Data Views Section. Here you see a list of existing data views and folders.
Create your Data View
Click 'New View'
Give your data view a name
Select the connected form. The connected form is the source of the data shown in this data view.
Choose your view type:
Table - The classic display of columns and rows.
Calendar - Calendar style view with data showing as calendar events.
Board - Kanban board with data showing as board items.
Add columns to your Data View
You can add columns to your data view from the list of fields on the left. This will display the data collected for the field selected in your data view.
Add a default order or default filters
To order or filter that data that shows in your data view, you can used the Default Order or Default Filter settings. This will apply automatically to this data view when viewed in the user console.
Customising your data view columns
To customise the columns in your data view, click on the column header to view and update the column settings.
Use cases for Data Views
Data Views have many uses in the Adapt Apps system. Some examples include:
Showing filtered data E.g. Showing all the items for a specific timeline stage.
Organising events in a calendar.
Building a task kanban board.
Showing all the submissions for a form.
Filtered data for for a dashboard tile.
