How to build a dashboard

Watch the full walkthrough here, or follow the written steps below.

Navigate to the dashboard builder

From the builder dashboard, go to the Dashboard Section. Here you see your initial dashboard page and the tools to build tiles and pages.

Add dashboard cards to your page

To build out your dashboard page, select dashboard tiles sections from the left side panel. You can rearrange the order of the sections once they are in the dashboard builder. To remove a dashboard section, you can Right Click the card you want to remove and select 'Remove Section'.

Editing a dashboard tile - Creating a chart or graph card

To edit a dashboard card, simply click on it and the card's settings will show on the right side panel. Here you can set what type of tile it is, the Title, Subtitle, Colour, Icon and other settings.

To create a chart or graph card:

  1. Select the type 'Chart', give the card a Title and select the 'Edit Chart' button.

  2. Choose the form you want to create graph of.

  3. Choose your chart type.

  4. Select your category. This is the field you want to show the data of.

  5. Choose how to summarise your data. This can include the count of each item type, or aggregate a field to show the sum, average, etc.

  6. Add any filters, ordering or limiting to your chart.

As you're building, your chart will preview on the right, as well as the table of data you are working with.

Add more dashboard cards or pages

You can add as many cards as you want to each page. To help organise your information, you can create multiple pages to keep the information seperate and clean.

Save your dashboard

Once you are finished with your updates, you can press the Save button in the top navigation bar to save your changes.

Dashboard Page Permissions

To show and hide certain dashboard pages to different users in your library, you can set permissions on each dashboard page or dashboard section to determine who can see that information. To do this, right click on a page or section and select 'Edit Permissions'. Here you can set the specific teams you want to be able to view this page or section.
